Eighth Hour - International Shipping Policy
This Shipping Policy applies to all international orders placed on the Eighth Hour website.
1. Order Processing & Dispatch Timeline
- All international orders are made-to-order and are typically dispatched within 14 working days from the date of order confirmation.
- Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding Indian public holidays.
- During peak seasons, sales events, or unforeseen circumstances, dispatch timelines may extend slightly. Customers will be notified in case of significant delays.
2. Shipping Carrier
All international orders are shipped via delivery partner like DHL Express or any other delivery partner that Eighth Hour may engage from time to time.
3. Shipping Costs
- Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on destination country, shipment weight, and package dimensions.
- Shipping fees cover transportation and handling only.

Delivery timelines are estimates calculated after dispatch and may vary due to customs clearance procedures, regulatory inspections, weather conditions, or peak courier demand.
5. Customs Duties, Import Taxes & Fees
- Product prices and shipping charges do not include customs duties, import taxes, VAT, GST, brokerage fees, or other destination-country levies.
- All such charges, if applicable, must be paid by the customer directly to the delivery carrier or local customs authorities prior to delivery.
- Eighth Hour has no control over these charges and cannot estimate them at checkout.
6. Country & Region-Specific Information
United States (US)
- US orders may be subject to import duties and taxes depending on the declared value, product category, and material composition.
- Low-value shipments may qualify for duty-free entry under applicable US de minimis rules.
- Duties and taxes are assessed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
United Kingdom (UK)
- UK imports may attract Import VAT, customs duty, and carrier clearance or handling fees.
- Charges are assessed by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).
- The shipping partner or UK customs authorities may contact you for payment prior to delivery.
European Union (EU)
- Shipments entering the EU may be subject to Import VAT and customs duty depending on the destination country and HS classification.
- Charges are assessed by the customs authority of the destination EU member state.
- Delivery will be completed only after applicable charges are cleared.
7. Order Tracking
- Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking information from the respective shipping partner.
- Tracking information typically becomes active within 24 hours of dispatch.
- You can track your shipment on the respective shipping partner’s website.
8. Address Accuracy & Delivery Attempts
- Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate international shipping address, including postal/ZIP code and a reachable contact phone number.
- If delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect address details or non-payment of customs charges, the shipment may be returned, delayed, or abandoned.
- Any additional shipping, storage, re-delivery, or return costs will be borne by the customer.
9. Delays, Lost or Damaged Shipments
Delays
Delays caused by customs clearance, airline schedules, or regulatory procedures are outside Eighth Hour’s control and are not eligible for refunds.
Lost Shipments
If your order has not been delivered within 30 days from dispatch, please contact us at contact@eighth-hour.com with your order number. We will assist by opening an investigation with the courier.
Damaged Shipments
If your order arrives damaged, notify us within 48 hours of delivery and provide photographs of the outer package and damaged items. Resolution will be subject to courier claim approval.
10. Returns & International Orders
- International return shipping charges are the customer’s responsibility, unless the return is due to a shipping error or manufacturing defect.
- Customs duties, VAT, and taxes paid at destination are non-refundable by Eighth Hour.
